The 3rd Saturday of each month, from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. Infants and individuals through 18 years of age are welcome. Free adult tetanus shots are also available.
Advanced Cancer Support Group

The Advanced Cancer Support Group addresses the particular concerns of individuals with advanced cancer and their loved ones. Come together in a safe and caring environment to share your feelings, experiences and support, voice your concerns, and learn about resources and treatments. Topics include: treatment decisions, side affects of treatment, work-related issues, end-of-life concerns, and changing relationships with children, spouses, family and friends.

The group meets at Alaska Regional Hospital’s Cancer Care Center (Medical Office Building C, Suite 414) the last Monday of every month from 7:00 until 9:00 pm. If you would like to learn more or speak with someone about joining the group, please call the Cancer Care Center at 264-1431. The support group is a free service for the community.
Hospital Stay 101 - Navigating the medical system

Each one-hour session will address legal documentation including advanced directives, communicating with care providers and addressing the needs of family caregivers. Attendees will receive assistance completing and notarizing their advanced directives. Sessions take place on the last Tuesday of every month.

Men's Health Fair

For the fourth annual Men's Health Fair, Alaska Regional will offer free blood tests, as well as blood pressures, lung function checks, and exercise and food demonstrations. Educational exhibits and mini seminars will help you better understand men’s health issues and concerns. No RSVP is necessary. Women are also welcome to attend.
