Choosing A Physician
Choose a physician or midwife for your obstetrical care and a physician for your babys care. These are life-long professional relationships so it is important to choose physicians who make you feel comfortable.

Our free physician referral service, 888-254-7884, can help you select a caregiver based on whats important to you.
Insurance, Billing and Pre-registration
You can pre-register and sign up for our Cradle Club prior to your estimated due date. Pre-registration allows for quicker admission when your baby is ready to arrive. You should also discuss insurance coverage with your primary provider. Knowing when coverage begins and what is included will help you develop your birth plan accordingly. Financial assistance may be available. For more information or to pre-register, call our Admitting & Scheduling Department at 264-1232.
If your preferred provider is with another facility, you still may be able to deliver at Alaska Regional. To see if this is a possibility, contact your insurance company and be sure to complete a Patient Discount Form and fax it to the Patient Access Representative at (907) 264-1051. Also, remember to notify your insurance company of your babys birth.
