Emergency Cardiac Care

In matters of the heart, the earlier treatment is initiated, the better the chances of a positive outcome. Because "time is heart muscle," people with chest pain or other symptoms of heart attack can expect rapid diagnosis and treatment in our well-equipped and staffed Emergency Department.

We diagnose and treat thousands of patients each year for conditions that include chest pain, stroke symptoms and other cardiac and vascular ailments. Moreover, since time to diagnosis is critical, our emergency physicians use only the fastest, most accurate diagnostic tests.

Call 911 if you experience the following signs of a heart attack:

  • Chest discomfort for more than a few minutes
  • Uncomfortable pressure, squeezing or tightness in chest
  • Pain extending into the neck, jaw, stomach or or arms
  • Shortness of breath for more than a few seconds
  • Cold sweats, nausea, lightheadedness or vomiting
